Speed/thrash influenced band who sound modern yet are opposed to the hardcore/metalcore that has inflitarated metals commercial scene
Lynch first entered life as a dream entertained by a young pair of music fans, Josh Bird and Ali Moffat, who dreamed of a future not populated by poorly executed crossover bands and the new wave of American genericism. The pair began writing and recording material, until the scope ther pair's musical vision necessitated additional membership. Into the fold was brought a young guitarist by the name of Joseph Ritchie who, sick of his local scene's classic rock worshipping shit-marathon, was eager to engage in something more musically stimulating. The band was completed by the then much in demand drummer Euan MacPherson, a fellow metal devotee and friend of Jo's. Taking the name Quarantine, the band embarked on a series of well recieved public appearences, only to be derailed by the young drummer's lack of commitment, exam priorities (read: incorrent priorities) and, as they have been called 'wank tendancies' towards prog and other offensive musical styles. After a healthy dose in-fighting and doubt about the future of the band, another Penicuik local by the name of Gary McLaughlin was drafted in to take over percussion. Rejuvenated, the newly monikered Lynch embarked on a spree of home recording and live performances, which continue to this day.... By Jo (spelt like a girl Ritchie) THE REST OF LYNCH WOULD LIKE TO MAINTAIN THIS WAS SOLELY THE WORK OF JO AND THAT THEY ARE NOT ALSO FAGS AND HE IS INFACT THE 'KIRK HAMMET' (AKA THE FAG ONE WHO IS NO-ONES FAVOURITE) OF THE BAND
